A challenging course, easy access to your car every lap so less gear to carry, aid stations perfectly located with supportive, energetic volunteers and diverse offerings. Great first ultra.

Small rave vibe... big race course difficulty... awesome crew and participants. Terry, Jenny and Phil are the best. It got hot early and they were able to expedite ice 🧊 delivery to the aid stations.

I was nervous because I didn’t know how the trail would be like but it wasn’t bad. There’s some steep hills (nothing you can’t slowly walk up to). Overall it was such a great experience and I am so glad I did it.

Great trails, with great views.

I haven't done a lot of other races but I have been SO impressed with the level of organization and the quality of the events. You provide great information in advance and race day is just simple and easy and all about the run. I had a blast.

WOW. Huge congrats to the team behind the Inaugural Trail Run! Honestly, the logistics were fantastic, but the real superstars were the staff and volunteers. Every aid station was a blast—you all made the effort feel worth it! For a first-year race, this was a massive success. Thank you.

Even though it was not the original route it was a fantastic race. I thought I would have hated to do loop, my first loop race, but I loved it.

Gnarly hills, rewarding downhills, amazing crew.

I enjoyed the long downhill stretches of single track.

I really loved the 5k course. It was challenging but very doable for all skill levels or even as a hike (I saw more than a few people with trekking poles out there!). The scenery was beautiful, the trails were VERY well marked, and it just generally had a good “flow” from start to finish. I would definitely return for another race at this location!

For this race along with the Spacerock race two weeks ago, the Race Directors Terry and Jenny put a lot of time, effort, and love into all that they do. They do everything they can to make sure the volunteers and runners have the best experience possible. I enjoyed working with staff and fellow volunteers at registration. The Aid Stations were great and the photographers also did a tremendous job taking pictures. Everyone is so kind and encouraging, and I always feel so good after volunteering and racing.

This race had to pivot last minute to being a Lap Race due to complications with the city. I was initially disappointed to hear about the change since I was looking forward to exploring all the new trails on the 28k. However, I approached the event with an open mind and I am glad I did! It turned into a 6 Lap 30k race around the 5k course, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this became one of my favorite races I've done in quite a while! The 5k Loop was challenging with a fair amount of climbing at both the start and end, but the downhill sections were so fun to run I found myself looking forward to certain sections each loop and using them to mentally pull myself thru the harder parts. The BEST part, however, was running thru the same aid stations multiple times. The Volunteers got to know you and made sure you were well stocked for the rest of your lap, and celebrated your return when you came back. One of the Volunteers at Station 2 remembered meeting me at a Spacerock Trail Race where we had run together for a while. It was an incredible morale boost to have him encourage me by name each lap. I am glad to hear that the Lap format will continue next year because I am already looking forward to running this again and seeing how it evolves over the years!

This race is well organized event. Loved the scenery and the helpful volunteers. Hopefully, the courses go back to the original courses as planned. Thank you!

The race was well organized with great communication upfront. Due to the last minute change, the course was not my favorite as running 6 times the same loop is a bit boring (but that loop was nice though). The volunteers were awesome and helped me at one of the 3 aid stations to overcome my leg cramps. The medal kept me pushing through the race, incredibly cute design!

This race was very well coordinated and I appreciated all of the communication, especially within the week of the race! It is a beautiful trail and I enjoyed being a part of this event! Looking forward to next year!!!
